You need a tutorial on how to weld.

Some of us are clueless, but want to know.

If you’re really a newbie, and if available, a good option is to take a part time welding class in your category type. This will give you a good outlook and welding habits to start, then practice. Nothing better than one on one with an instructor and usually fairly inexpensive. Another option is to find a friend that has experience to show you some welding tips and pre weld preparations...

IMO, don't find tutorials or Internet learning to weld very efficient and frustrating. (Seen some pretty bad ones). Welding needs to be seen and felt hands on with lots of practice. :D

I don't consider myself a welder per say, but a fabricator, I do get by....

This is very simple welding but all the same couldn't explain it.. But could show how in a person to person scenario..
Don't get me wrong..If you know a bit about welding the odd tutorial gives ideas.. every little bit may help and maybe some one will put up a little speal….

P.S. think there's a half decent welding video at Tony's Welding Videos.. They’re not available at the moment but apparently he will be back up end of May....

I’m sure he will guide you through welding techniques and procedures in different categories as stated on his page. I’ve never seen them personally; just one of them heard it through the grapevine links from many of my Faber Internet buddies it wasn’t a waste of time…. I too am waiting to see how his new vids turn out..

I have watched a few and even I learned a few things. Not that I am a great welder or anything, but the old one's were very good, a little cheesy at times, but good.

He even tells you when to weld certain things to help avoid major warpage, not eliminate it, but help keep it under control.
